This rare 50+ year old artpiece quality Ozipek Hereke rug is a perfect example of not only what the Ozipek carpets are known for, but it is incredible to find an old piece in this stunning 13/13 quality and in this size. Given that most pictorial silk rugs are typically hang on walls, it is in mint condition and there are no damages.
This is a genuine Turkish Ozipek Hereke rug with a 13/13 quality, which translates into about 900+ kpsi and its a great example of what the fine Turkish silk rugs are all about. The pictorial design features lots of plants and animals, which are also very well made and the details are crisp and colorful. The Ozipek Hereke rugs like so many other Turkish silk weavers got all but wiped out by the cheaper Chinese imitations and as a result the older genuine Turkish pieces like this one are becoming more and more sought-after and appreciated. If you are a fan of Turkish silk rugs, you will immediately appreciate a rare find like this one and it is obviously perfectly suited for hanging or displaying as a decor rug..
