RUG INFORMATION:
Our first Turkish silk rug with the famous Pazyryk design...
And in a square shape like the original perfect for hanging or displaying!!
This is one of those rugs that collectors of handmade carpets love to display. The Cinar silk carpets in Turkey are one of the last still existing rug production workshops and they have pretty much set roots around Istanbul. They used to be also be part of the Hereke types of rugs and the ones like this one are often times called Cinar-Istanbul as they have a 8/8 quality with about 400 kpsi. The few Cinar rugs with a 10/10 quality or higher are also known as Cinar-Hereke which I explain in my video below.
The Pazyryk design is based on the oldest handmade rug that is known to exist and dates back to about 2500 years ago. It is featured in a museum in St. Petersburg Russia. If you like, google Pazyryk ryg and you can learn more about it. This Cinar piece dates back to about 2005 and the original buyer had this beautiful custom frame made for it to display as an artpiece. As a passionate rug freak, I was thrilled when my family was able to purchase this piece as it is the type of rug that any collector of fine silk rugs would love to display. However, we decided to remove it from the frame so that we can enjoy the detailed workmanship from both sides and we actually felt it was more beautiful without the frame.

IMPORTANT:
Info About REAL vs. FAKE Hereke Rugs

Due to the large number of inquiries I receive about genuine and fake Hereke rugs and the misinformation that are being peddled by online and rug store retailers, I have created my own YouTube channel where I offer factual information for you like the video below that is about this particular Pazyryk Cinar Silk Rug. You can see the video if you view this rug page on a laptop or desktop.
