Masterpiece quality Qum rug from the Erami workshop with ~700KPSI...
This Qum rug is one of several fine Qum pieces that we have recently received and this one is from the highly respected Erami workshop. Due to their values and prices, we typically try to stay away from the large sized Erami pieces due to their very high prices, but in this piece we were able to get one at the right price and a stunning quality.
Whereas many high end workshops in Qom focus on knot counts, the Erami family is known for the old-school approach and produce pure silk Qum rugs that are much denser and stronger than others. If you hold one of their Qum rugs in your hands and compare it with other silk Qum rugs of the knot count, you will know instantly the difference in the weight and quality of the silk. If you look at my special collectable page, you can typically find a few medium sized pieces and they tend to sell very fast.
In addition to featuring about 700 kpsi, this Erami Qum rug also features a gold colored design with a turquois greenish blue background that is very elegant and beautiful as it changes colors from every angle. Even in the pictures, you can see that the Qum rug is colorful and yet very elegant and that the colors compliment each other very well. Also, the design is meant to be classic and yet unique in its own way as you can see in the layout of the medallion. Simply superb in every detail, this pure silk Qum rug is everything you would expect from a genuine silk Qum rug and is perfectly suited for formal areas of a home or office. As with all of our pure silk Qum rugs, this piece is also signed by the weavers and is this case features the proud signature of the Erami workshop.
