Largest 26/26 quality Turkish Hereke rug with 4250+ kpsi we have ever been able to hold in our hands.
With our passion for the pure silk Turkish Hereke rugs, we have been searching for years to find pieces that are of a Holy Grail status and this is one of those pieces that we were dumbfounded when we saw it. The sheer size of this 26/26 quality piece is obviously not something that we have ever seen and to give you an idea, this 66x43cm rug has almost 2 million double-knotted Turkish knots. Just imagine how long it took the weaver to sit there and weave this rug and you will understand why this is the crown jewel of our collection. It dates back to ~1970 based on the workmanship and it is completely untouched and has never been restored or repaired.
