Perfect older pictorial pure silk Hereke rug and with a popular shape, size and design that many of our fellow Hereke collectors like to display in their homes. This is a genuine Turkish Hereke rug with a 11/11 quality, which translates into about ~800 kpsi and its a unique example of what the older Turkish silk rugs were all about before they were decimated by the influx of the cheaper Chinese copies. Everything about this Hereke is truly spectacular and it was part of a private collection of beautiful Turkish Hereke rugs that we were fortunate to be offered. Based on our experience, its about 60 years old and in excellent condition. If you are a fan of the Turkish silk rugs, you will immediately appreciate a rare find like this one and it is obviously perfectly suited for hanging or displaying as a decor rug...
