RUG INFORMATION:
Stunning Isfahan with a majority silk pile and a old-school design and workmanship...
This Isfahan rug is a genuine jewel that was displayed as a decor rug by a very serious rug collector who had a stunning collection of very high end and rare Persian rugs. Unlike more high quality Persian rugs that feature silk as highlights in the designs, this Isfahan features large parts of the pile that are completely made of silk. In addition to the large amount of silk, the foundation is also made of silk and the overall design is classic Isfahan that was often found in older Seirafian rugs. Being made in late 1970's, this Isfahan carpet features about 600 kpsi and is like new. There are no damages and the condition is virtually untouched.
Due to the uniqueness of this Isfahan rugs, I have featured this piece and an equally rare Qum-Ilam in its own video as part of our YouTube channel and you can see the video below if you are viewing this page in full view.
In this video, I will feature this beautiful Isfahan rug as well as similar ones is this popular size. I will also highlight the close relationship between the Isfahan and Nain rugs.
