RUG INFORMATION:
Semi-Antique silk Hereke rug with 10/10 quality (~625kpsi) in excellent condition!!
This old Hereke rug dating back to the 1940's and is a great example of what the lost art of genuine Hereke rugs is all. With individual diamond shaped designs featuring small floral patterns and and an unusual large size for Hereke rugs of this era, this Hereke is perfect for hanging on a wall or laying in a formal part of your home or office. While the 10/10 quality of this piece is everything you would expect from a genuine fine silk Hereke rug, it is the unique signature that will be noticed by collectors of Hereke rugs. The signature in the top left corner in the border states al-Hereke, which was a common way of how the Hereke rugs were signed during that era.
The workmanship is everything the Hereke rugs are known for and the condition of this semi-antique Hereke is excellent. The loops in the bottom of the Hereke are still perfectly intact and it is obvious that this piece was treated like an artpiece by its original owner. It was obvious from its superb condition that this Hereke rug appears to be used as a decor rug only and there are no damaged or worn out areas that required any repairs. Simply a stunning piece at a great price and the kind of Persian rug that collectors look for.
