A PERSIAN RUG FAN'S DREAM COME TRUE!!
This Isfahan rug is a genuine and signed older Kazemi showpiece and if you are a fellow passionate Persian rug fan, this is one of those rugs that everyone rug geek like myself would love to hold in their hands and in this case would love to hang on a wall.
The Kazemi Isfahan rugs are highly respected for the unique designs and simply beautiful details and here you have the best of everything in a shape that is perfectly suited for hanging. Even though it is about 60+ years old, this Isfahan rug only needed a simply cleaning and is in like new condition. It was part of a private collection and is virtually unrestored and in excellent condition. This Isfahan rug is an early example of the Kazemi workshop and dates to around 1960.
If for example you look at the video below or the close-up pictures, you can see see similarities between the older Nain and Isfahan rugs in the colors and design of this piece. The design features colors that are classic of the era and it is simply a great example of what the high end Isfahan rugs of that era were all about. Besides the unique design and colors, the horizontal shape is also very rare in Persian rugs and is virtually always used in rugs that are hang on walls or displayed as artpieces...
If you are able to view page in desktop view, please check out the video below in which I feature several of these rare Isfahan rugs including this Kazemi piece.
