This ~1000 kpsi Qum rug is one of the finest pure silk Qum rugs in our collection and takes its inspiration from the famous Jamshidi Qum rugs with this quality and design. It was made by the weavers of the Zameni workshop and is a stunning example of what the very best in pure silk Qum rugs are all about.
Made by the Zameni workshop in Qum, this very detailed silk Qum piece not only features ~1000 kpsi, but also well over 20 different colors in the design. It is simply a very detailed and painstakingly woven artpiece quality Qum rug with ~1000 kpsi. Qum rugs at this level are considered to be the finest and most valuable types of Persian rugs and they are also becoming more and more challenging to find as the workshops who produce these rugs are closing their businesses for good.
The turquois blue background in the center along with the almost shape of the design is classic for the Jamshidi inspired Qum designs and is one of the most iconic designs in pure silk rugs. Perfect for a formal or quiet area of a home or office, this Qum rug is clearly designed to be displayed as a fine home decor rug and there is another feature that true lovers of pure silk Qum rugs appreciate.
Like most high end pure silk Qom rugs, this one also features the signature of the workshop and you can see the 3 Zameni signatures in the bottom. It is common for pure silk Qum rugs to feature the signature of the workshop, but having multiple signatures points to the rug not only woven by the weavers of the workshop, but also designed by the Zameni family and they themselves were part of the weavers that made this rug. This is why you also often times see multiple signatures in Jamshidi rugs since the designer, workshop and actual weaver are different entities.
