RUG INFORMATION:
Genuine older Turkish Hereke Ozipek rug in excellent condition with 10/10 quality.
This older small pure silk Turkish Hereke Ozipek features a classic and gorgeous design that is a beautiful reminder of the lost Hereke weaving culture in Turkey.
The older Turkish Hereke rugs are highly sought-after pieces that are cherished by collectors worldwide and the Ozipek workshop was one of the best known and most respected amongst the Hereke weavers. Here is an older piece that dates back to about 1970 and is a superb piece with a very fine 10/10 quality, meaning that it has 10 knots per centimeter. Perfectly suited for hanging on a wall or displaying as a decor rug, this fine Hereke is a great reminder of what the past Turkish weaving culture is all about. Most classic Turkish Hereke rugs feature a mirrored design, meaning that the right and left half are mirrored and here is a perfect example such a design with the deep red background, which is in my opinion a perfect compliment to the design Everytime you look closely at the rug, you will see different design features and it is simply a stunning piece and the kind of Ozipek rug that many of my collectors look for.
