RUG INFORMATION:
Showpiece quality semi-antique pictorial Ozipek Hereke rug in like new condition and a stunning design!!
This rare semi-antique showpiece quality Ozipek Hereke rug is a perfect example of not only what the Ozipek carpets are known for, but it is incredible to find a 50 year old piece in this stunning quality. Given that most Hereke silk rugs are typically hang on walls, it is in mint condition and there are no damages.
This is a genuine Turkish Ozipek Hereke rug with an 8/8 quality, which translates into about 400 kpsi and its a great example of what the fine Turkish silk rugs are all about. The stunning design features a perfectly matched deep red background and it is so well made that it feels and looks like a much finer piece. The Ozipek Hereke rugs like so many other Turkish silk weavers got all but wiped out by the cheaper Chinese imitations and as a result the older genuine Turkish pieces like this one are becoming more and more sought-after and appreciated. If you are a fan of Turkish silk rugs, you will immediately appreciate a rare find like this one and it is obviously perfectly suited for hanging or displaying as a decor rug..
