RUG INFORMATION:
Gorgeous 4-Lah masterpiece Nain Persian rug with a silk foundation...
This Nain 4-Lah is one of several over the top Nain rugs that we are currently offering and it is the only one at this point that features a silk foundation. Silk foundation Nain rugs are some of the rarest types of high end Persian rugs as it takes an extremely talented Nain weaver to be able to not only weave such a rug, but also make sure that it has the durability and density to support the fine wool pile. Even the famous Nain masterweaver Habibian rarely ever made Nain rugs with a silk foundation.
With ~600kpsi, this Nain rug is actually not as fine as most 4-Lah Nain rugs with a cotton foundation, but this is actually common. This may seem like an oddity, but so far all of the 6-Lah silk foundation pieces have been finer than the 4-Lah silk foundation Nain rugs.
If you are a fan of Nain Persian rugs and are able to view this page in full-view, I would encourage you to watch the video below in which I feature Nain 4-Lah rugs and explain why some 4-Lah and 6-Lah Nain rugs have different knot counts.
If you like Nain Persian rugs or are shopping for one, please watch this video as it contains several important tips.
