RUG INFORMATION:
Genuine Hossein-Davari Gonbad square masterpiece quality Isfahan rug with large sections of silk in the pile. ALL OF THE LIGHT BROWN AREAS ARE PURE SILK!!!
This large square Isfahan rug is a genuine and signed Hossein-Davari masterpiece featuring a stunning Gonbad design with a huge amount of silk that is simply perfectly done. The Hossein-Davari workshop is not as famous as the Serafian or Haghigi weaving houses, but is well respected within the rug community in Isfahan for weaving very high quality rugs with a very keen eye on quality and workmanship.
The square Isfahan rug here is simply a perfect example of what the Hossein-Davari masterpieces are known for. If you look at the various pages, you will see that the light brown pile in the Isfahan rug is made of pure silk and there is even more silk in the design. It is extremely rare to find any Persian rugs of this quality and it is simply stunning to see how the fine Kurkwool is in the dark areas of the rug to bring out the design of the Gonbad pattern and is of the highest quality making the Gonbad design pop out even more. With about 600 kpsi, it is a very nice piece and like all fine Isfahan rugs, this carpet features a silk foundation. The signature is also of course visible as you can see in the pictures and this is the type of high quality Persian rug that many of our clients place in formal areas of a home.
