Excellent quality genuine Loribaft Persian rug with a very contemporary design.
If you are familiar with or have a passion for Persian rugs, you will most likely have heard of or seen the tribal rugs made famous by the Qashqai nomadic groups of central Iran. Amongst the rugs that these tribal nomadic groups weave are the Yalameh and Qashqai carpets in the medium range qualities and the Loribaft rugs, which many consider to be at the top of the group of tribal rugs due to their dense wool and workmanship.
This Loribaft rug is a perfect example of what a high quality Loribaft rug is all about, but with a very uniquely contemporary design. Made with very dense wool, which is known for its strength and denseness, this piece is one of the most unique Loribaft rugs that I have ever seen or offered. As you can see in the pictures, the colors and weave hide a washed out Gonbad design and the original piece was custom made for one of our clients. We like the design and workmanship so much so, that we ordered another example to be made for us and we could not be more excited.
