Beautiful masterpiece Qom rug made by the Mehdi Sadeghzadeh workshop in Qum with an amazing attention to detail and about 800 kpsi.
This double signed Mehdi Sadeghzadeh pure silk Qum rug is a stunning masterpiece and a great example of what the very high category of the Qum rugs is all about. The double signature refers to the fact that this Qum rug was not only woven by the Sadeghzadeh workshop, but that the founder Mehdi is the one who designed this piece. It is very rare to find pure silk Qum rugs that are designed and woven by the same folks and this is something that many collectors of pure silk Qum rugs look for. If you like this Qum rug, I would suggest that you watch the video below in which I showcase this along with other fine Qum rugs in this size and you can see how the colors change as I walk around the Qum rug. At around 800 kpsi, this Qum rug is about as high end as it gets and given the design and overall look, I would imagine that this piece would be placed in a formal room or hang on a wall.
