This rare 900 kpsi Qum runner is one of two identical pieces by the Leboh-Fon workshop that we are fortunate to offer and it is a stunning example of what the very best in pure silk Qum rugs are all about.
Made by the weavers of the Mohammad Leboh-Fon workshop in Qum, this very unique and detailed silk Qum rug not only features ~900 kpsi, but also a design that is available in different sizes and shapes as pointed out in the video below. The Leboh-Fon family pretty much pioneered this red and gold design with the mural design in the center and we have been blessed to be able to have a long relationship with them. This has allowed us to purchase many of their rugs and they are simply stunning in detail and workmanship.
The solid red background is not only perfect in bringing out this unique design, but is also gives it a very elegant look and feel. This is the type of Persian rug that many of my clients place in their homes and the twin sets are often used in long hallways or in bedrooms. Perfect for a formal or quiet area of a home or office, this Qum rug is clearly designed to be displayed as a fine home decor rug and the very high 900 kpsi quality along with the workmanship puts it in a masterpiece quality category.
Unlike most high end pure silk Qom rugs, this Qum runner features two signatures of the workshop and you can see the Leboh-Fon signatures in the top and bottom centers meaning that they are not only the weavers, but also the designers of the rug.
