RUG INFORMATION:
Amazing Hereke Khan Khali rug with stunning 12/12 quality, ~900+ kpsi, and a custom made framed pictorial design!!
This is one of two genuine Hereke carpets that we aquired from a private party that had their Hereke custom framed. With a 12/12 quality ~900+ kpsi, this pictorial Khan-Khali Hereke belongs in the very high class of silk Turkish Hereke rugs. The design is known as the sad autumn and depicts a Tree-of-Life pictorial design with lots of animals and plants. Khan-Khali Hereke rugs are similar to the Ozipek Hereke rugs and very sought after pieces as the workshop also fell victim to the mass importation of Chinese copies. It's remarkable quality was made possible by weavers making the rugs literally while looking through a magnifying glass, which is an old weaving technique that is all but gone. Based on our experience and knowledge, it dates back to the late 80's and since it was kept in a beautiful frame the entire time, it is like new and in flawless condition. Please note that I am offering this pieces with the frame as you can see in the picture and it will be shipped as is. If you have any questions about the framing or need special assistance, please let me know.
