RUG INFORMATION:
Genuine Semi-Antique Toodeshk Nain Masterpiece...
This semi-antique Nain rug was woven in the small town of Toodeshk, which is a nearby village near Nain around 1960. For a number of years, there was a small group of rug weaving families in Toodeshk that worked as a group and made these beautiful pieces in a mostly 6-Lah quality. This Nain Toodeshk is a great example of what the older 6-Lah Nain rugs are all about in terms of quality and workmanship with the unique character of the Toodeshk weavers.
Woven with a solid 6-Lah quality, this Nain Toodeshk rug features silk in the design as highlights and the pile is made with a very soft mix of kurkwool on a cotton foundation. This Nain Toodeshk rug is simply a great piece that pays homage to the artestry in Persian rugs and was displayed by the original owner like an decor rug in a formal room.
