Classic example of the popular Tabriz Mahi design made by the Pirouzian family, which is one of the best known Tabriz Mahi weavers in Tabriz. The 50 raj high quality Tabriz rugs are designed to be both durable and at the same time luxurious, which is why they are oftentimes considered the benchmark by which high quality Persian rugs are measured by. I myself had a Pirouzian Mahi rug in my own dining room and can attest to its durability and beauty. With about 350 kpsi, it is everything you can hope for a Persian rug that is designed to be both great under furniture or out in an open area. The beige background works great in bringing out the many smaller details and workmanship. As with virtually all genuine Pirouzian Mahi rugs, this piece is signed by the Pirouzian family.
