RUG INFORMATION:
Silk foundation showpiece quality square Tabriz rug with one of the most popular Gonbad patterns and colors by the Mohammadi workshop in Tabriz. This particular Gonbad design and color combination is unique to Tabriz rugs and is often stated to be inspired by the interior roof design of the giant rug bazaar in Tabriz, which features similar colors and looks. If you google Tabriz carpet bazaar, you will see interior pictures of the bazaar, which is one of the largest indoor bazaars in the world and a UNESCO heritage site.
This particular square Tabriz rug features a 60 Raj showpiece quality with a silk foundation and as you can see in the pictures, the large 10ft (3m) square size is simply perfect for the Gonbad design with the silk added to the pile as highlights. Perfect for both formal and everyday use, this square Tabriz Gonbad rug features silk in the design and is made with a very fine and dense Kurkwool with about 400kpsi.
