Genuine Jamshidi Qom rug with a stunning 1000+ KPSI quality...
This Qum rug is one of a few genuine Jamshidi artpieces that we have been fortunate enough to be able to offer and is a perfect example of what the Jamshidi silk rugs are all about.
The Jamshidi family are considered one of the most renowned Persian rug workshops in Qum that are still in business today and the rugs they produce are some of the finest and most valued collectables that you will find. These Qum rugs are in a league of their own and they are simply everything you would expect from a artpiece quality piece. If you are familiar with Jamshidi rugs, you will know that each piece is carefully designed and made. The sheer feel of the thick silk and looks are often a dead giveaway and as is customary with all genuine pieces, there is of course a signature of the family in the rug.
This piece was made by the Jamshidi workshop for a collector about 30 years ago and the owner treated it like an artpiece as part of a private rug collection that was next to none. Below is the video in which I feature this Jamshidi rug and there are also other videos about these rare Qum rugs. With about 1000 kpsi, this Jamshidi Qum rug belongs in a league of its own and is at the moment the only remaining genuine Jamshidi in our collection.
