Large silk Hereke rug with 9/9 quality perfect for formal rooms in homes or in an office.
This NEW Hereke rug is not only the largest genuine Turkish Hereke in our collection, it is also one of the few new silk rugs that was never owned by a private buyer. The 9/9 quality with its Turkish knot makes it an ideal choice for laying in formal rooms or offices where a luxurious rug is requested that can also be placed under furniture or out in the open. Unlike the Persian silk Qum rugs, the Turkish Hereke rugs are woven with a double-knot known as the Turkish knot, which not only gives the Hereke a superior strength over the Persian silk rugs, but also a denser and stronger pile making it perfect for laying on floors.
For years now I have been getting requests for larger genuine Turkish Hereke rugs and have been trying to find one for the longest. Most are either of a much lower quality or are so expensive that they are simply not realistically priced. This Hereke rug is part of a 15 piece collection that we purchased as a set and this is why we can offer this piece at such a low price. If you are familiar with Turkish Hereke rugs, you will know how rare and expensive these pieces are.
