Stunning High Quality Bidjar rug with a unique design...
This 6-7 foot (2m) round Bidjar rug features a combination of the classic Herati design with a level of workmanship that is next to none...
If you are familiar with Bidjar rugs, you will know why they are also called steel rugs and here is a great example of what one the highest quality Bidjar rugs looks like. This round Bidjar rug features a quality known as Tekab with about 350 kpsi, which is very high for Bidjar rug and it is rare to find this quality in these triple knotted carpets. Bidjar rugs like this one are meant to be placed in high traffic areas and under heavy furniture and this particular piece is probably amongst the most popular types of Persian rugs we offer. Our clients love the simple and yet elegant design especially for their dining rooms, entries and/or just about any area of their homes.
This round Bidjar rug was made with some of the densest wool from the tribal Kurdish regions in the northwestern Iran. The sheep in the region are known for their thick and plush wool and when combined with the same knot type as the Tabriz rugs, which is the Turkish knot, you end up with a rug that will last forever and then some. This particular design is amongst the most classic and also most popular designs in Bidjar rugs and if you watch the video below, you will see me not only feature this rug but also show pictures of the ones I have in my home...
