Artpiece quality Qum rug from the Kazemi workshop with ~900KPSI...
This Qum rug is one of several fine Qum pieces that we have recently received and this one is from the highly respected Kazemi workshop. Due to their values and prices, we typically try to stay away from the large sized Kazemi pieces due to their very high prices, but in this piece we were able to get one at the right price and a stunning quality thanks to our personal relationship with the workshop.
The Kazemi family is known for the old-school approach and produce pure silk Qum rugs that are much denser and stronger than others. We have been purchasing their Qum rugs for decades and if you look at our smaller Qum galleries, you will probably find a few even though they are very sought after with our clients. If you hold one of their Qum rugs in your hands and compare it with other silk Qum rugs of the knot count, you will know instantly the difference in the weight and quality of the silk. Again, if you look at my special collectable page, you can typically find a few medium sized pieces and they tend to sell very fast.
In addition to featuring about 900 kpsi, which puts it in one of the finest pure silk categories, this Kazemi Qum rug also features a very elegant design, which simply pops out thanks to it very dark, almost black background. As is also customary with all pure silk Qum rugs, the colors and focus change from every angle and most of my clients purchase Qum rugs of this caliber for their formal rooms. Even in the pictures, you can see how the colors in the Qum rug change and compliment each other very well. Also, the design is meant to be classic and yet unique in its own way as you can see in the layout of the medallion. Simply superb in every detail, this pure silk Qum rug is everything you would expect from a genuine silk Qum rug and is perfectly suited for formal areas of a home or office. As with all of our pure silk Qum rugs, this piece is also signed by the weavers and is this case features the proud signature of the Kazemi workshop.
