RUG INFORMATION:
Rare genuine Mohammadi Nain Masterpiece
Very fine 6-Lah Nain Persian rug that is about 55 years old but in Like New condition and made by the Mohammadi workshop. The Mohammadi workshop was closely related the Habibian workshop and was known for their very fine and detailed Nain rugs in large sizes like you see here. They were treated like masterpieces even back than and here is a perfect example of one that was purchased from the family of a private collector. The Mohammadi pieces are extremely rare and due to them being a workshop back in the days, it truly a delight for us to even be able to find such a rare Nain rug. Even though it is an older piece, it has virtually no usage or wear. The colors have aged as is of course expected, but it is as though the rug was simply placed in a palace somewhere and then forgotten...
As with all genuine 6-Lah Mohammadi Nain rugs, this piece features silk highlights and ~500 KPSI. Even though I personally prefer the newer rugs, this piece has a special place for me and I can safely say that it is one of my favorites. Perfectly suited for formal areas of a home, it is one of the most unique Nain rugs I have been fortunate to offer and the design and colors are colors are everything the Mohammadi Nain rugs are famous for. There is lots of very fine silk throughout the design and as will all genuine Mohammadi pieces, this Nain rug is made with the finest kurkwool and all natural dyes. It also features the Mohammadi signature as was customary with all of their rugs.
