Genuine 100+ year old Haj-Jalili Tabriz rug...
This collectors quality 100+ year old Tabriz rug is a rare and genuine Tabriz rug made by Haj-Jalili workshop. The mirror like design with the floating center are all trademarks of the Haj-Jalili workshop and like in most Tabriz rugs of that period, the Tabriz rug is made of wool with a cotton foundation and made with only vegetable dyes. While our specialty is in new high quality Persian rugs, we are also at times able to aquire rare antique pieces and this is one of those rare find that you typically only find in famous auction houses and in museums. The condition is excellent for its age and based on the condition of the pile, it is safe to assume that it was displayed as an artpiece in a home for many decades. As with all antique rugs of this caliber, I would not recommend it for a traffic area and it is to be treated like an artpiece.
