This Qum rug is one of the finest large pure silk Qum rugs that we are currently offering and is an absolute artpiece with ~900 KPSI. The Kazemi family in Qum is a highly respected workshop known for the extremely fine workmanship and are of same level as the Ahmadi and Mohammadi rugs. If you look at the pictures, you can see the intricate details that are abundant through the whole design and it is designed to be placed in a formal area where its beauty can be appreciated.
One of the unique features of this Qum rug is that it is a twin set and both were purchased by us after their completion. This piece and its twin are simply stunning examples of what pure silk Qum rugs are all about and the design features Qom Persian rug patterns that the Kazemi family has woven in the past. Whereas some artists create booklets with pictures of their art, the Kazemi family literally created these rare artpiece quality Qum rugs to showcase their designs and it is such a pleasure to be able to feature this piece and its sibling. If you browse the various pictures, you can see the signature of the Kazemi weaver and as is customary, the signature reads right to left: Bofte Iran Qom Kazemi - in English Bofte means woven.
