Semi-Antique Ozipek Hereke rug in excellent condition
This Ozipek Hereke rug is one of several rare genuine Hereke rugs that we are proud to offer and as with all of our Turkish Hereke rugs, the silk and/or the fringes have not been replaced or restored. Due to their age and rarity, most older Hereke rugs have been repaired or have had their fringes replaces and I am very particular about not offering these types.
The design in this Ozipek Hereke rug features a classic design as well as the signature in the top center, which is standard for the genuine Ozipek pieces. Also, the condition of this semi-antique Ozipek Hereke is excellent and based on our estimate it is about 50 years old. It appears to be used as a decor rug only and there are no damaged or worn out areas that required any repairs. Simply a gorgeous piece and the kind of Persian rug that collectors look for. With a luxurious 9/9 quality, this Hereke-Ozipek features 500+ kpsi and is perfectly suited as a decor rug or for hanging. The Ozipek Hereke rugs are no longer made and for those who know and appreciate the Turkish rugs, you will appreciate a piece like this.
