RUG INFORMATION:
What a rare find...
If this gorgeous Mahi Tabriz rug was a bit smaller, it would be staying in my living room. This Tabriz rug was owned by one of our family friends who was a rug dealer decades ago and when he downsized his home, he asked us if we were interested in offering it. This turquois blue is such a difficult color to make that it is rarely ever used to this extend in genuine Persian rugs and to when I first saw it, I was not only taken by how beautiful it looks, but also by the condition of the Mahi rug.
This Tabriz rug dates back to about 1980 and was purchased by a rug dealer who placed it in his formal living room. The quality is like new and it has a patina feel to it thanks to the turquois and brown color combination, that is such a beautiful combination. Given that I used to have a similar Tabriz Mahi rug in my own dining room for many years, I can personally attest to the number of compliments that I have received from friends and family.
