RUG INFORMATION:
Semi-Antique silk Hereke rug with 10/10 quality (~625kpsi) and great artpiece!!
This old Hereke rug is a great example of what the lost art of genuine Hereke rugs is all about with a design that makes it perfect for hanging on a wall or laying in a formal part of your home or office. While the 10/10 quality of this piece is everything you would expect from a genuine fine silk Hereke rug, the light background color brings out the design and beauty. It is an excellent piece and as with most genuine Hereke rugs, there is a signature in the bottom left corner in the border.
The workmanship is everything the Hereke rugs are known for and the condition of this semi-antique Hereke is excellent and based on our estimate it is about 70-80 years old. The colors and features in the border point to it having been made around 1950. It was obvious from its superb condition that this Hereke rug appears to be used as a decor rug only and there are no damaged or worn out areas that required any repairs. Simply a stunning piece at a great price and the kind of Persian rug that collectors look for.
