RUG INFORMATION:
Semi-Antique Turkish Cinar rug with Stunning Design!!br>This rare pure silk Turkish Cinar is one of a handful of Turkish pieces that we purchased from an old friend of the family who used to deal in old Turkish rugs. Not only is this Cinar silk rug in excellent condition and an absolute novelty, but the sheer attention to detail and design is something that is far beyond the norm.
The Cinar rugs are not as wide spread as the silk Hereke rugs and were very popular in the 70's and 80's. Nowadays, they are more collectable rugs and most new pieces tend to be wool rugs that are made in the Turkish tribal regions north of the Syrian border. This particular piece is anything but the norm and is an amazing example of what the fine Cinar rugs are all about. Even though it has a knot count that is below the euqivilant Qum rugs, it is far more detailed and the quality along with workmanship is far superior. The overall quality is of such level, that a it is closer to the Qum rugs with twice the kpsi.
The condition of this semi-antique Cinar rug is excellent and is like new even though we estimate that it is about 50-70 years old. It was placed in a glass vitrine and was on display in our friend's rug store, so it is virtually untouched. Its pictorial Last Supper design is popular in fine Persian rugs, but the attention to detail is beyond anything I have ever seen in Turkish silk rugs of this caliber. It is simply a stunning pictorial rug and a perfect addition to any rug collection.

IMPORTANT:
Info About REAL vs. FAKE Hereke Rugs

Due to the large number of inquiries I receive about genuine and fake Hereke rugs and the misinformation that are being peddled by online and rug store retailers, I have created my own YouTube channel where I offer factual information for you like the video below that is about Hereke Silk Rugs. You can see the video if you view this rug page on a laptop or desktop.

Learn about Turkish vs. Chinese Hereke Rugs

If you own or are interested in silk Hereke rugs, please watch this video in which I show you real Turkish silk Hereke rugs and the Chinese silk couterparts that are often sold as genuine Turkish rugs. For over 20 years, I have been getting a lot of inquiries about the Hereke rugs and so many have been scammed by the rug dealers in Turkey that I thought I try to show you the difference using actual rugs.

Topic #2: Differences in prices and Signatures!! Learn the truth about them and see an actual example of a signature that was added to a Chinese copy to make it look like a Turkish piece
