This Qom rug features a burgundy background, which is very hard to find in hunting scene Persian rugs. The workmanship is extremely well detailed and even though the knot count is just a touch below most masterpiece quality Qum rugs, the workmanship takes it deservingly over to the highest level. As a masterpiece quality, it falls into the top tier groups of pure silk Qom rugs and I welcome you to shop around and see if you can find a similar piece elsewhere in this quality and price range. I personally like how the pictorial artwork stand out from the dark red color and also how the border features very detailed animals and plants that are in my opinion more crisp than I often find in these Qom hunting rugs.
