Genuine Jamshidi Qom rug with a stunning 11/11 quality...
This Qum rug is one of a few genuine Jamshidi artpieces that we have been fortunate enough to be able to offer and is a perfect example of what the Jamshidi silk rugs are all about.
The Jamshidi family are considered one of the most renowned Persian rug workshops in Qum that are still in business today and the rugs they produce are some of the finest and most valued collectable Persian rugs you will find. These Qum rugs are in a league of their own in terms of quality and workmanship. In fact, this is the only piece that I am able to offer publicly as we have many others that are new and are of such prestigious nature, that we only make them available to our very special clients. If you are familiar with Jamshidi rugs, you will know that each piece is carefully designed and made with the finest and highest quality silk available. The sheer feel of the thick silk and looks are often a dead giveaway and as is customary with all genuine pieces, there is of course a signature of the family in this rug.
This piece was made by the Jamshidi workshop for a collector about 30 years ago and the owner treated it like an artpiece as part of a private rug collection that was next to none. With an 11/11 quality, which means that it features 11 knots per centimeter, this Jamshidi Qum rug belongs in a league of its own and the type of Persian rugs that very few carpet dealers are able to offer.
