Custom Isfahan Rug made for the Shah family in the 1960's...
This Isfahan rug features ~1300 KPSI and was made for the Shah family in the 1960's. The Shah's family name Pahlavi was woven in a very discreet place in the border of the rug as was common back in the days when the empirial Shah family would order the finest rugs to be made by some of the finest weavers in Iran. The quality of 1300+ KPSI is beyond any Isfahan rug I have ever seen and it is simply put a museum quality piece. As far as we were able to determine, it was made at the request of the Shah family and given as a gift to an important embassador at the time. As one would expect, this piece is in excellent condition and is of the quality that you would expect to see in museums or in the official residences of heads of states. Due to the extremely high value, I have not listed the actual asking price and this piece is for collector's only. My suggestion would be that if you are interested in this piece, please feel free to contact me and I would suggest that you visit us and see this rug in person.
