Dear Visitor,
I have added these pages to my website to show you some of the common designs in Persian rugs.
One of the rarest designs in Persian rugs is known as SOOF, which refers to handmade Persian rugs that have METAL fibers added to their foundations. These Persian rugs are so incredibly hard to find that even we as wholesalers can only find a few every couple of years and when we are able to purchase them, our retail and my private clients typically purchase them in a very short amount of time.
Since you have most likely never seen a Soof Metal Persian rug in person, I will first show you a few pictures and then below them is a video that showcases several of these rare Persian rugs.
As I mentioned above, the Metal SOOF Persian rugs are so rare that most of my clients have never seen or heard of them. Here are two rare examples of these metal rugs, the first is a Turkish silk Hereke rug that was sold some time ago and you can see how the silk pile appears to float on top of the foundation made of silk and a gold colored metal. Below is a round metal Tabriz rug that was available at the time of this writing, but you would need to check with me about its status.
The 11 minute video I made for you will give you some insights about the Metal Soof Persian rugs with examples and close-ups. I hope that the video will be of help to you and feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
