This Persian rug features a metal
and silk foundation, which is extremely rare in Persian rugs.
Unfortunately, the picture of this Persian rug is not very clear,
but if you like to see more detailed pictures, click on this links:
Persian
rug #5026 The Tabriz Persian rug is from 2003 and sold shortly
after I received it. However, due to it's uniqueness, I thought you
may enjoy looking at it.

A Tabriz Persian rug from 2004 with
a very unique design and colors. Most Persian rugs do not feature a
solid brown color and the dome shaped center medallion is also very
unique. If you like to see other rare Persian rugs, make sure you
check out my personal collection of rare Persian rugs. You can find
the link in my homepage. |

One of the most unusual Mahi
Persian rugs is this large piece made by the Pirouzian family. The
Pirouzian Tabriz Mahi Persian rugs are extremely popular and well
known for their outstanding quality and unique approach. Unlike most
other Mahi Persian rugs, their Tabriz Mahi rugs are only made of the
finest Kurkwool and often feature lots of added silk highlights. |
 |
This medium sized Qum Persian rug
features a dome shaped Gonbad design, which is becoming very popular
in Europe and the US. Unlike traditional Persian rugs that have a
center medallion, this design is based on the artwork seen in the
ceilings of mosques and is a much more modern pattern in Persian
rugs. |
 |
High quality Persian rugs like this
octagon Tabriz Persian rug made with a silk foundation are extremely
rare. This particular Tabriz rug actually has a twin piece, which
makes it even more rare among Persian rugs. It is the first octagon
Persian rug that I have ever been able to offer in 7 years and I'm
still looking for other rare Persian rugs like this one. |
 |
Qom Persian rugs are best known for
their pure silk pieces like this square Qum silk rug and are
considered to be very formal Persian rugs due to their high value
and quality. Even large silk Persian rugs like this 10' square piece
can be hang on walls as my client did since he has a very wall. Due
to the limited amount of traffic and virtually no wear, these type
of Persian rugs tend to keep their value. |
 |
Square Tabriz Persian rug with a
silk foundation and a very unique design. Just like the octagon
Tabriz rug above, this Persian rug also features a 60 raj quality
and also has a twin. I typically sell the twin Persian rugs as a
set, but due to their large size of 8', my family decided to split
them up and sell seperately. |
 |
Round Persian rugs like this Tabriz
Mahi rug have always been the most popular rugs in my galleries due
to their unique appearance and versatility. From entry ways to
dining rooms and every where in between, clients have bought these
high quality round Persian rugs. Ranging in size from 3 to 10 feet,
the Tabriz rugs are the most common round rugs and are designed to
be beautiful and last a lifetime. |
 |
One of my personal passions is for
unusual rugs and this is definitely one such Persian rug. Made in
Tabriz, this star shaped rug features lots of colorful designs and a
tremendous amount of silk highlights. I have had a number of these
truly rare Persian rugs and my clients like to use them as
showpieces. |
 |
Large round Qum Persian rugs like
this piece are very hard to find due to their difficulty and the
designs tend to be very unique as well. The two most common types of
high end round Persian rugs are the Tabriz rugs and the Qum rugs.
Both are considered city rugs and in the last 5 years they are
starting to share some of the same designs even though they have
very different qualities and workmanships. |
 |
This silk foundation 60 raj Tabriz
Persian rug features very unique designs and colors, which is rarely
ever seen in Persian rugs. My client was so thrilled by the quality,
that he decided to hang it on a wall although the Tabriz rug is
perfectly fine to walk on. Tabriz Persian rugs like this one are
very fine and are to be treated as showpieces. Even though they are
very elegant, they are designed to last a lifetime and many are
passed down from one generation to the next. |
 |
Oval Persian rug made in Tabriz.
Genuine handmade oval Persian rugs are very hard to find due to their
difficulty in weaving. Most Persian rug weavers do not have the
skills to make these odd shaped rugs, which makes these rare and
high end oriental rugs very valuable. Even though there is only a
limited demand for these type of unique Persian rugs, I always try
to find some so that I can show you the different types of designs
that are available in Persian rugs. |
 |
High end Naiin Persian rugs like
this one typically feature a
6-Lah quality and a very unique design. One of my finest Persian rugs is this Naiin rug, which measures over 10'
in length and
has well over 600 kpsi. Naiin Persian rugs like this one are
extremely rare and this is the first large Persian rug that I have
been able to offer with this unique design. |
 |
Round Tabriz metal Persian rug with
a gold colored metal and cotton background. The metal Persian rugs
are the most asked about rugs simply due to the fact that most folks
have never seen or heard of them. If you click on the picture, you
will be taken to a web page that explains the metal Persian rugs in
much more detail. |
 |
Oversize Persian Tabriz rug with a
pictorial medallion in the center. Persian rugs with a solid black
color are hard to find because the solid black color is one of the
hardest colors to produce. Also most region make very traditional
designed Persian rugs and the rug weavers rarely ever venture into
new designs. The most type of high quality Persian rugs with this
color are the Tabriz rugs like this one you see. |
