Round Persian carpets like this
Tabriz Mahi Pirouzian piece are extremely hard to find and this one
in particular is a very unique sample. The Pirouzian family is among
the most respected rug weaving family in Tabriz and they only
produce high quality Mahi Persian carpets like this Tabriz carpet. |
 |
Another rare and very high quality
handmade Persian carpet is this Nain rug, which I purchased right
after it was completed in 2008. Nain Persian carpets like this one
are extremely rare and are designed to be both durable and
luxurious. The design is called "Gonbad", which is the dome shaped
artwork typically seen in mosques |
 |
One of my finest kurkwool and silk
Persian carpets that I have ever offered is this 4-Lah Nain Persian
carpet with over 700 kspi. Typically, only pure silk Qom rugs can
have such a high knot count making these high quality Persian
carpets formal pieces designed to be placed in low traffic areas or
even hang. 4-Lah Nain Persian carpets are very rare due to their
extreme difficulty in weaving and most of the high end ones tend to
be the 6-Lah, which are just a bit lower in quality. |
 |
Large room size Tabriz Persian
carpets like this piece are designed to be both durable and
luxurious. As with all high quality genuine Persian carpets, this
Tabriz carpet is made of fine kurkwool and silk. All of the Tabriz
rugs that I offer are high quality Persian carpets and I do not sell
any low quality pieces. |
 |
Another high quality Persian carpet
is this Isfahan carpet made of fine kurkwool and silk foundation.
Unlike most other high quality Persian carpets, Isfahan carpets are
typically always made with a silk foundation and they are very
elegant, yet equally durable. |
 |
Pure silk Persian carpets like this
oval Qom carpet are among the most expensive and finest Persian
carpets made by hand and are
very valuable. As with all of my genuine pure silk Persian carpets,
this oval Qom rug has over 700 kpsi and is designed to be placed in a low
traffic area or hang on a wall. Some of my clients like to hang
these fine oriental rugs on walls and some even have them framed. |
 |
Oval Persian carpets like this pure
silk Qum carpet are very rare due to the difficulty in weaving and
are considered a novelty. Most Persian carpet weavers do not have
the skills and experience to make these high quality Persian
carpets, which makes the odd shaped pieces like this oval carpet a
collector's carpet. |
 |
Large round Persian carpets like
this Tabriz carpet are very popular with my clients who are looking
for a centerpiece. This round Tabriz carpet features a silk
foundation and a pictorial design in the center, which is very rare
in Persian carpets and is designed to be placed in an open area. |
 |
The design in this round Tabriz
Persian carpet is called Gonbad and it has become one of most
popular pattern. Inspired by the dome shaped design inside of
mosques, Gonbad Persian carpets are often colorful and always high
quality pieces. The most common Gonbad designs are found in Tabriz
Persian carpets. |
 |
This 10' large round Tabriz Persian
carpet features a solid design, which is very rare in high quality
Persian carpets. Most Persian carpets have a large center medallion
and to find a fine round Tabriz carpet like this piece is
extremely rare. Perfect for under furniture or out in the open, it
is designed to be both a showpiece and very durable. |
 |
Pure silk round Persian carpets
like this high quality Qom rug are very rare and are designed to be
showpieces. This particular round Qom carpet features a Gonbad
design typically only found in Tabriz Persian carpets. In addition,
almost all pure silk Qom Persian carpets are signed by the weavers
and it is very rare to see a signature on the round Persian carpets. |
 |
Large square Nain Persian carpet
with a very unusual design and shape. Most Naiin Persian carpets
feature very traditional designs and colors and I always try to look
for more unusual looking pieces that are both high quality and
unique. As with all of my Nain Persian carpets, this piece has over
600 kpsi and is called a 6-Lah Nain carpet. |
 |
Twin Persian carpets made in Tabriz
with a geometric Heriz design. It is very rare to find two identical
twin Persian carpets and most of them are made in Tabriz. Due to the
difficulty in making these type of twin carpets, most tend to be
high quality Persian carpets and are designed to be placed in
bedrooms and other areas where a matching set is welcomed. |
