"Hi Mike,
I just picked up the rug today and it is GORGEOUS!!!  I love it!  Brian and I were RV'ing around Alaska this week, so I had FedEx hold it until we got back. Thank you so much!  I'm sure you'll hear from me again with another purchase :).
Take care,

Most high end Qom Persian rugs feature very traditional designs and even though the majority of the Oriental carpets are of a much lower quality, it is these high quality pure silk Persian rugs, that has given the name the respect it rightfully deserves.

Round Persian Carpets. Round Persian carpets like this Tabriz Mahi Pirouzian piece are extremely hard to find and this one in particular is a very unique sample. The Pirouzian family is among the most respected rug weaving family in Tabriz and they only produce high quality Mahi Persian carpets like this Tabriz carpet.
Persian Carpets . One of the finest handmade wool Persian carpets that I ever offered is this 4-Lah Nain Persian carpet with over 700 kpsi. Typically, the only high quality Persian carpets with that high of a kpsi are pure silk Qom carpets and this Nain carpet is an extremely fine piece. Another rare and very high quality handmade Persian carpet is this Nain rug, which I purchased right after it was completed in 2008. Nain Persian carpets like this one are extremely rare and are designed to be both durable and luxurious. The design is called "Gonbad", which is the dome shaped artwork typically seen in mosques
Persian Carpets #1. One of the finest handmade wool Persian carpets that I ever offered is this 4-Lah Nain Persian carpet with over 700 kpsi. One of my finest kurkwool and silk Persian carpets that I have ever offered is this 4-Lah Nain Persian carpet with over 700 kspi. Typically, only pure silk Qom rugs can have such a high knot count making these high quality Persian carpets formal pieces designed to be placed in low traffic areas or even hang. 4-Lah Nain Persian carpets are very rare due to their extreme difficulty in weaving and most of the high end ones tend to be the 6-Lah, which are just a bit lower in quality.
Persian Carpet #2. High quality Tabriz Persian carpet made of fine Kurkwool and silk. All of my Tabriz Persian carpets are very fine and genuine handmade carpets and I only offer Tabriz carpets that are at least 50 raj. Another high quality Persian carpet is this Isfahan carpet made of fine kurkwool and silk foundation. Unlike most other high quality Persian carpets, Isfahan carpets are typically always made with a silk foundation and they are very elegant, yet equally durable.
Persian carpets #4. Oval Persian carpets like this pure silk Qom persian carpet are extremely rare. Due to the difficulty in weaving oval carpets, Persian carpets like this oval Qom carpet are very valuable and sought after. Pure silk Persian carpets like this oval Qom carpet are among the most expensive and finest Persian carpets made by hand and are very valuable. As with all of my genuine pure silk Persian carpets, this oval Qom rug has over 700 kpsi and is designed to be placed in a low traffic area or hang on a wall. Some of my clients like to hang these fine oriental rugs on walls and some even have them framed.
Persian carpet #5. Oval Qum Persian carpet made of pure silk with over 700 kpsi. All of my Qum Persian carpets are made of the highest quality and I only offer pure silk Qum rugs like this rare oval Persian carpet. Oval Persian carpets like this pure silk Qum carpet are very rare due to the difficulty in weaving and are considered a novelty. Most Persian carpet weavers do not have the skills and experience to make these high quality Persian carpets, which makes the odd shaped pieces like this oval carpet a collector's carpet.
Persian carpets #6. Round Persian carpet made in Tabriz with a silk foundation. This Tabriz carpet features a 60 raj high quality, which is very high even for quality Persian carpets. Large round Persian carpets like this Tabriz carpet are very popular with my clients who are looking for a centerpiece. This round Tabriz carpet features a silk foundation and a pictorial design in the center, which is very rare in Persian carpets and is designed to be placed in an open area.
Persian carpets #7. This design in Persian carpets is called Gonbad and is based on the dome shaped ceilings in mosques. Round Persian carpets are very popular and this Tabriz Persian carpet design is among my most popular patterns. The design in this round Tabriz Persian carpet is called Gonbad and it has become one of most popular pattern. Inspired by the dome shaped design inside of mosques, Gonbad Persian carpets are often colorful and always high quality pieces. The most common Gonbad designs are found in Tabriz Persian carpets.
Persian carpets #8. Large round Tabriz Persian carpet with a solid design. Most Persian carpets have a large center medallion and to find high quality Tabriz carpet like this round piece is very rare. This 10' large round Tabriz Persian carpet features a solid design, which is very rare in high quality Persian carpets. Persian carpets #9. Round pure silk Qom Persian carpets like this piece are extremely hard to find and very valuable. Among the highest quality Persian carpets are the Qum Persian carpets made of pure silk and many are placed in formal rooms or hang on walls. Pure silk round Persian carpets like this high quality Qom rug are very rare and are designed to be showpieces. This particular round Qom carpet features a Gonbad design typically only found in Tabriz Persian carpets. In addition, almost all pure silk Qom Persian carpets are signed by the weavers and it is very rare to see a signature on the round Persian carpets.

These Nain Persian carpets are among the highest quality Kurkwool and silk carpets that are genuine handmade in Iran. Large square Nain Persian carpet with a very unusual design and shape. As with all of my Nain Persian carpets, this piece has over 600 kpsi and is called a 6-Lah Nain carpet.
Persian carpets #11. Heriz designed Tabriz Persian carpets in a twin set, which is very hard to find in genuine handmade carpets. Twin Persian carpets are most popular in bedrooms and short hallways and make for great focal points. Twin Persian carpets made in Tabriz with a geometric Heriz design. It is very rare to find two identical twin Persian carpets and most of them are made in Tabriz. Due to the difficulty in making these type of twin carpets, most tend to be high quality Persian carpets and are designed to be placed in bedrooms and other areas where a matching set is welcomed.
