This old Qum oriental carpet was
made around 1940 and features a pure silk pile that only covers
about 80% of the carpet. Even though these type of oriental carpets
typically have a metal foundation, this Qum carpet is made of pure
silk and features a tree of life design. High end pure silk antique
Qum oriental carpets like this piece are extremely rare and tend to
be very expensive. Designed to be hang on a wall. |
 |
Oval oriental carpet with a 50 raj
quality and handmade of wool and silk. Among the most unusual oriental
carpets are these
oval carpets and they are so hard to find that most retailers
can't even offer them. I am only able to offer a few of these oval
oriental rugs at a time and it is due to my family contacts with the
weavers in Tabriz that I am even able to offer them. Extremely rare
and valuable, these oriental carpets are designed to be placed in
formal rooms and areas. |
 |
Room size pure silk Qum oriental
carpet with a pictorial hunting scene. Genuine handmade pure silk
Qum carpets are some of the finest and most valuable oriental
carpets and are often hang on walls as well as placed in formal
rooms. The design of this large Qum carpet is very traditional,
although most pictorial oriental carpets tend to be much smaller. |
 |
10' round Tabriz Oriental carpet with a
solid black color and lots of large silk highlights. Oversized round
oriental carpets like this Tabriz carpet tend to be made of very fine kurkwool with lots of silk added as highlights
to bring out the design. The shiny silk areas
work very well with the solid black color and it makes this Tabriz
rug even more luxurious than it already is. |
 |
Round Tabriz oriental carpet
with a geometric design called "Gonbad". One of my most
popular designs in round oriental carpets is this pattern and it is
unfortunately also one of the rarest patterns. The center of these
oriental rugs feature a star shaped medallion and then
the colors tend to get either lighter or darker as you move away from it. |
 |
Large pure silk Qum oriental carpet with a
very unique design and color combination. This Qum carpet features
gold and green colors, which are some of the rarest colors found in high
end oriental carpets. The design is a combination of a Gonbad and
traditional Isfahan design, which is also very rare. High quality
oriental rugs like this one are always very sought after and tend to
keep their value as they get older. |
 |
Small picture Isfahan oriental
carpet with a
with a silk foundation and perfect for hanging. These type of high
quality oriental carpets have always been popular and are used in
the place of pictures. Due it their sizes, some clients like to have
these oriental carpets also framed. |
 |
Medium sized pure silk Qum oriental
carpets in a square size like this piece are extremely rare and the
turquoise blue color is also very hard to find. Like all of the Qum
oriental carpets that I offer, this piece is made of the finest silk
and has over 700 kpsi. I do not offer any low quality Qum carpets
and I always try to find unique oriental carpets. |
 |
Another medium sized square
oriental carpet, but this time with an even more unique design and
colors. Tabriz carpets like this one are almost always made of
highest quality and feature lots of silk highlights on a cotton
foundation. Like all of my other Tabriz carpets, I only offer pieces
that are 50 raj or higher and I do not carry any low quality wool
carpets. |
 |
Oversized Tabriz oriental carpet
with a silk foundation designed to be a showpiece in a formal
room or area. Even though high quality Oriental carpets like this
piece are very luxurious, they are perfectly fine to walk on and are
genuine handmade carpets designed to last a life time. |
 |
Twin oriental carpets like this set
are rarely ever offered due to the fact that all genuine oriental
carpets are handmade, which makes it very difficult to create two
identical oriental carpets. Most of my clients like to place these
type of carpets in bedrooms or small hallways. |
