Notes: This is a high end Tabriz Persian rug with about 400 kpsi and is a 50
raj rug. There are 2 unique features in this Tabriz rug. First, the fact that it
is a solid black color is very hard to find since most Persian rugs don't have a
black color, but rather a dark navy blue. The other feature of this Persian rug
is the large amount of silk that was added to the pile. Unlike most Tabriz rugs,
which only have a little bit of silk added to the design, this Persian rug has a
very large amount added to all parts of the rug and the contrast between the
silk and the black color works very well. This is a very luxurious looking piece
and the combination of the detailed artwork, colors, and silk highlights work
very well together.
