Notes:
First 4-Lah Nain rug that I have ever
offered and even though it is made of kurkwool and silk, it actually
has a higher knot count than my pure silk Qom rugs. All of the rugs that I offer are high end pieces, but this
Nain rug takes it to another level. Basically, Nain rugs come in
two types, the very low quality, which is about 90% of them, and
then there are the very high end ones, which are much more rare and
are the only ones I carry. In the top 1% of Nain rugs are these
4-Lah quality rugs and they are so fine that they feel almost like
silk rugs. The term "Lah" refers to the number of strings that make
up one fringe, so the less strings the finer the rugs. In this Nain
rug, each fringe is made up of only 4 tiny strings, so you can just
imagine how soft and light this rug is. Due to their extreme
difficulty in weaving, they are very rare and tend to be very
expensive. Even though the price is high compared to other types of
rugs, it is actually very low compared to what other's sell them
for. I got this rug at a great price because we have purchased many
other rugs from the same family before and I purchased a couple of
other 6-lah pieces from them at the same time. As of now, it is the
finest rug that I have ever offered and please count the knots
yourself in the close-up picture. I counted about 30 knots which
means that this Nain rug has about 900 kpsi. If you know anything
about rugs, you know how amazing that is.
