Notes: This Qom rug is an extremely fine and rare
piece with a very unique pattern. It's center features a "Gombardeh"
design borrowed from Tabriz rugs and the outer leaves are often
found in Isfahan rugs. Another unique feature is the combination of
the green and gold, which is very unusual and the border depicts
small buildings, also a unique addition. Some of my clients like to
hang these type of Persian rugs on walls or even frame them due to
their luxurious quality and this is a definite center-piece. As with
most of my large Qom rugs, the weaver has added his signature to the
top of the rug.
