Notes: This Tabriz rug was made by a very well
known and respected weaver "Faraji". His family business has been in
Tabriz for many, many years and have produced some of the finest
rugs. If you ask any retailer or expert, everybody knows about this
weaver and his skills. Until a few years ago, the family would only
make extreme high end rugs and are now also producing some 50raj
pieces with this well known design, which has become like a
trademark. Very elegant and quiet in design, these rugs are both
luxurious and durable. You can see in the close-ups, that a great
deal of silk was added to the designs and the workmanship is
according. Every one of these rare pieces is signed by Faraji in a
very small part of the design. The solid black works as a great
contrast with the silk highlights and the light border. Rare size
too.
