Notes: Absolute masterpiece rug made by the
Jafari family. This Tabriz rug is the finest piece I have ever been
able to offer with this extremely rare design. The pattern is a
variation of the dome shaped "Gonbad or Gombardeh" design and it
is one of the most sought after modern designs in Persian rugs.
Extremely popular with my client's, these pieces are meant to be
showpieces and also extremely durable.
This Tabriz rug is one of many that I have offered in the past and
present that is made by the Jafari family. The Jafari family has
become extremely well known and respected in Tabriz for this
particular design and they only make high end Tabriz rugs with the
dome shape pattern. It is thanks to my family's long business
relationship with the Jafari folks that I am even able to acquire
beautiful rugs like this piece. While their specialty is in round
Tabriz rugs with this design, they also make regular shaped pieces
and they are among the best dome shaped rugs in the rug trade.
