Notes: Extremely fine Nain rug!!!! My specialty
is in Tabriz rugs, but every once in a while I have the opportunity
to add other fine Persian rugs to my collection, and this is one
such piece. The quality is just outstanding and with about 600 kpsi
it is also an extremely fine piece. Lots of silk highlights and the
pictures don't come close to doing this Nain any justice. I wish you
could feel the quality and it's putting most of my Tabriz rugs to
shame. These high end Nain rugs were made famous by the best known
weaver in Iran, Mr. Habibian. Today, many weavers will use his
techniques to recreate these type of Nain rugs and will still use
his signature. Please note that there are some sellers who will
offer these Nain rugs as authentic Habibian rugs. Considering that
Mr. Habibian died many years ago, it is unlikely that he will
continue to bless us with new rugs and do not fall for these scams.
These type of Nain rugs are very high quality rugs but they are not
authentic Habibian rugs, if they were, they would sell for ten times
the price.
NO, this rug is a square piece, although it looks very much like
one. Had to triple check to make sure since this center design was
deliberately done to make it look like a square rug. Very hard to
find size in Nain rugs.
