Notes: This is a very high end and rare piece.
The gold-metal foundation covers the entire Tabriz rug and only about
50% is actually covered with wool, of which 30% is made of pure
silk. Amongst my most sought after rugs are the metal rugs and they
are truly something to see. It's kind of hard to explain the visual
effect, but if you look at the last picture, you can see how the
pile just sits on top of the foundation. These rugs are absolute
showpieces and are designed for formal rooms or other low traffic
areas.
