Workmanship: Handmade

Size: 8'6" by 8'2"

Color: Main colors are blues, reds, creme, etc.

Material (Pile): Kurkwool and silk. Main material is Kurkwool and silk was added as highlights.

Foundation: Cotton

Price: $6990.00

Quality: High quality with about 350 kpsi (50 raj)

Notes: This dome shaped design is called "Gombardeh" and it is a more modern pattern that has become very popular. I always try have several Tabriz rugs with this design in various sizes and I can't replace them soon enough. The design is based on the dome shaped ceilings in mosques.

Large square Tabriz Persian rug with a geometric design called Gonbad or Gombardeh and a silk foundation making this a 60-raj Tabriz oriental carpet. This Tabriz oriental rug is a very high end Persian carpet and it is also one of two identical rugs that were made. My father and I decided to purchase both of these rare Persian rugs, but due to the large 8' size, we choose to each keep one and both sold in a very short period of time. The design of this Tabriz oriental rug is extremely rare and the square size is also not as common in Persian carpets.
