Notes: The design in this Tabriz rug is called "Gombardeh" and it is the most popular pattern in my round rugs. It seems like the design was made specifically for round rugs, but it is actually more common in rectangular pieces. Both, the workmanship and quality, are absolutely gorgeous and I
am very fortunate to have the direct contacts so that I can continue to purchase them. I typically sell them within a few short months and it's
hard at times to keep up with demand.
One additional feature in this rug is the edge, which features some very
detailed workmanship. We were able to get this rug before it was completed and
we asked the weaver to try to avoid adding a kelim and instead add a fancy
border. The result is definitely rare and it took a lot longer than planned, but
well worth it.
