Important Information for
International Clients
Dear Visitor,
I have been noticing that many of my clients are living outside of the US
and I have added this page to assist in answering some of the questions you may
have. If you need any assistance, please feel free to let me know.
Shipping:
All of the international shipping is done through UPS or FedEx only. Due to
the fact that overseas shipping is not fully insured by the Postal offices, I
prefer not to use their services. The shipping rate for UPS and FedEx are higher
than standard mail, but are fully insured and very prompt. I have shipped rugs
to many countries and never had any problems with either carrier. Due to the
higher cost of the shipping and possible custom fees, I will offer a
discount on the shipping cost to offset any added fees.
All purchases of US$4000.00 or more will receive free
UPS or FEDEX global shipping** and you will only need to pay any customs fees,
where applicable. Due to the high cost of the shipping, I can not offer free
shipping on purchases below US$4000.00, but I will do my best to assist you with
the shipping cost. **Please note: Some
countries are not serviced regularly by UPS or FedEx. In this event, I can not
offer you free shipping even if you make a large purchase due to the very high
cost of shipping. Some of countries in Africa, Asia, and Middle East are
effected by these circumstances. To ensure that you get the best service, check
with me and I can give you some additional information. Payment:
Due to a higher risk of credit card fraud, I can no longer accept credit
cards and all payments must be made in the form of a currency wire transfer.
This way the funds are wired directly into my account and it typically only
takes a couple of days. I do not add any fees for wiring the funds and you will
receive a notification from your bank when the transfer has taken place. Due to
the low cost, this is the preferred payment method of many overseas clients.
Custom Fees:
Some countries charge an import customs fee and it can vary depending on
your country. You may want to check with your customs office to see what kind of
fees to expect so that you don't get a nasty surprise with the rug. When I ship
the rugs, I only pay the shipping fee and the customs fee, if any, will be
assessed by your customs office at the time that the rug arrives at the port of
entry.
For additional information, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Mike Panah
