Showcase of "Square" Persian Rugs

Dear Visitor,
I have added these pages to my website to show you some of the common designs in Persian rugs.
When we think of Persian rugs, we are typically talking about a rectangular carpet, but there are many other shapes that Persian rugs are made in. One of them is the square shape, which is not as common in Persian carpets, but is none the less part of the Persian rug business and I like to highlight them in this section.
Even though square rugs tend to look similar to the more traditional rectangular Persian carpets as far as the shape is concerned, they are actually much more closely associated with round rugs. This is due to the fact that most square oriental rugs share the same designs as round Persian carpets and tend have large circular pattern. If you look at the samples below, you can see how it appears that the square carpets have round rugs in the center and then just added corners to the outside. This is especially common in the high end Persian rugs like the ones below. The most common square rugs are the more traditional looking rugs with the low quality, heavy pile, and the reds and blues. Since my specialty is in high end Persian rugs that are unusual, I always look for carpets that are different in design or quality. The square rugs that I have picked for this section are all very unique and are all extremely high end Tabriz, Nain, and Qom rugs. If you like more information about each one, just move your mouse over them and hold still, which will allow a message to appear.
