Hello and welcome to my website,

My name is Mike Panah, owner of MP Persian Rug Imports, and I like to personally like to welcome you to my website. Unfortunately, we can not meet in person, but I hope that you will get to know me a bit by the information in the website and the manner in which I present myself.

MP Persian Rug Imports was created in August of 1999, as a result of my passion and interest in fine Persian rugs. My family has been in the Persian rug business for many decades in Europe and this is the perfect way for me to share some of my knowledge and experience with those individuals who share my passion in these fine pieces of art. Unlike many retailers, who have large stores with huge overheads, I work out of my home and I do not depend on the sales of rugs to make a living, which allows me to do things very differently than you would expect from retail stores.
My basic philosophy is never to spend more than I can afford and since I do not have to sell rugs to make a living, I can afford to sell them accordingly cheaper. Also, I tend to buy only a small number of rugs at a time, and I focus more on their uniqueness than their price. Each rug is handpicked by myself or my family, and after years of experience, we have learned what we can and can not sell. As a result, my inventory is constantly changing and I don’t keep my rugs for long periods of time.
Due to the limited space, I do not have the selection that you would expect from a large retailer, but I do have the resources to acquire just about any kind of Persian rug, in case you are looking for something in particular. Many of my clients custom order their rugs, which not only saves them the headaches of having to shop around, but it also allows me to buy the rugs for them at a much lower price, knowing that I already have a happy recipient waiting.

In case you are looking for big savings signs and promises of offering you the lowest this and the best that, you have come to the wrong place. I don’t pretend and I do not make great speeches just so that I can make a buck or two. Some retail stores will offer huge discounts and other promotions just to get you in the door. I don’t. In fact, I often wondered, if the prices and quality of what they offer is as good as they claim, why the need to flash fancy signs and offer dramatic savings.
The grand result of all this is, that here, at MP Persian Rug Imports, you will find honest prices on top of quality Persian rugs and a personal service that is of the highest standard. That is my commitment to you.
